Why can't I lead a normal life???? Work was amusing. First Shannon and I put together the new plotter. HP 800C. If there's such a thing as a sexy plotter, than this is it. Okay, okay. I'm a geek. Anyway, my next task was to go take pictures of the bridge over the Atlantic City Expressway at Exit 33. I pulled over right before the exit, hit the hazard flashers, and walked down the expressway toward the bridge. Yep. I was walking down the shoulder of a busy expressway. Go me! Work after that was pretty uneventful...except for the few minutes when Hillary was trying to set me up with her sister [well, not seriously, just busting my chops for being the right age (significantly younger than the rest of the firm)]. Then they all were going to happy hour at Applebees. Nah. Not that I want to drink, but if you're drinking Sprite when everyone else has something harder, it's just no fun (not that I know, but it makes sense in my warped brain). So I passed. There was thinking that people would meet me at the Ritz for a movie, but that didn't materialize. We flirted with going back out there to see Ghost World, but Sarah and I turned popular opinion against that. So we hung out for a while at Kleino's. Why do we scream so much? Maybe it's because Klein loses himself in conversation, and if we want somebody's attention... Yeah. But did a cool jam with Heather. She played a descending Am-G-F-E bass line (primarily the A-G-F-E) with all sorts of funky stuff in the right, while I jammed at will, primarily in a blues mode with an Eb and G, with the occasional G#. Yeah. I'm still a geek. We ended the night with the world's quickest diner run ever (bout 30 mins) and a wild and raucous discussion? over whether it's better to be male or female. Conclusion: loud voices in small space gives mark headache...luckily the KRAM VAN (my car, for the uninitiated) carries Tylenol (from earlier this week, when I had a headache during work, so I ran to CVS and bought some...duh). And now I'm here.

Well. I spent the day down the shore. It's been pretty uneventful down here. Rain. That's about it. Dad called Dell last night, it'll be at least two weeks on the laptop. So for the first week, I may be living off a PII 400. I'll live. It'll be one less thing to distract me, which may not be a bad thing. Watched the Philllies game today. FOX gave a shot of Mark Knopfler in the stands and played a bit of "Sailing to Philadelphia" for a pitch or two. It was pretty cool. Tonight I watched Top Gun, simply because there wasn't much else to do. I kinda doubt you need to look down and see what the music choices are :). Is that the right punctuation? How do you puncutate an emoticon? Does it go before it or after it, if you punctuate at all? Oh well, I don't care.
