Why did I agree to meet Frank at 8.25 AM in Hicks to finish that lab?

Right, it's past due and he has class at 8.30. Sigh. Why am I still awake if I need to be in Hicks at 8.25 AM? Why can't Frank send me attachments? I blame ITS

Why does it smell funky in here? Why doesn't anybody tell the frat boys across the hall not to smoke things in Dana? Somehow, I think these two are connected. Sigh.

/me closes door.

Reasonably unproductive compositionally tonight. Revised slow opening of bassoon piece, but no progress on a fast section. Will sketch ideas on train tomorrow, should be good enough. It's been a lousy enough week with the GI badness (which is just about gone now) and the general lack of sleep (probably related) that I don't feel so bad not getting much done.

Rather impressed by music history potential hire today - seemed better in touch with audience, more personable than Thursday's candidate. Remarked to [livejournal.com profile] qianian et al on way to dinner about really wanting to get the last 10 minutes of the lecture, so that she could tell us how the WWII political scene connected to Appalachian Spring, but the lecture had to stop for questions. Oh well.

Must remember to write in complete sentences.

Sent applications Friday to UDelaware, Montana State, PennDOT - though I think I sent this one to the wrong place - will e-mail or call later this week and ask them to redirect, if possible.

The Gazette just came - that means it's time to go to bed.

Have I mentioned how much I hate ITS. So with the new 'must have updated virus scan software' policy, my internet connection timed out last night at 1 AM. Downloaded most recent version of software, clicked yes I've read the usage policy, and tried to register my computer. Gave me an error message - user already registered. So I gave up and went to bed. Had an IP address in the morning, decided not to pursue matter further. helpdesk seems not to want to reply to my e-mails, they still haven't confirmed they got either - one about various MAC addresses for my random bits of hardware, one about ISDN to interview Michael. Sigh, will go down there sometime and raise hell.

That's all, should sleep now.
