So I've started messing around with Trillian's ability to label screen names with real names. I'm not sure how I feel about this. It seems like it's joining the online personality with the real world personality, and past experience has shown that this can be a dangerous thing. I also haven't yet figured out whether to input as first name last name or last name, first name. The latter is superior, I think, for sorting, but makes conversing seem strange, and finding a name on a list a little harder, as I tend to think about talking to people by first name. Hmm...

My new years resolution is to never write another paper in bed. While it sounds good on principle, it's harder to focus, and get motivated. Having written three of them in the last month, I'd say I'm an expert on the, uh, process. But I'm now done with academic 2004, and there's only 4 hours of year left.
