I failed on my bluegrass fort save. I went to get the one bluegrass CD in the stacks, it looked lousy, Bird and Diz was next to it. Then that CD ended, it was 11.30, and not really time to get into much. So I grabbed a recording of Pictures, on a whim. George was walking up, heard it, stopped, thought a moment, sed Mussorgsky. Then he stopped again and said that I had made him forget what he was coming up front to do. I think I enjoy interacting with George more than most people. Let's hope that his manner of dealing with people is not in my future. I don't seem the, uh, curmudgeonly sort, do I?

I probably shouldn't have asked that question.

52.5 hours and counting. Insanity slowly mounting. Suspect linear relationship at best (treat time before kickoff as negative); possibly exponential. Have started identifying times in terms of JST (Jacksonville Standard Time); cannot be healthy. Probably should use pronouns.

I'm declaring the WSRN schedule done. Poa Pratensis will return for a second semester (well, it's been my show every semester but one, but this is the first time I'm keeping the name for more than one semester) Thursday mornings from 10-11 AM. I may also do a short classical show Wednesday mornings 10.30-11. Should I call it:

a. Invertible Counterpoint
b. Dead White Men or Dead White Male Hegemony
c. Polyphonic Spree
d. Renaissance Men

I'm planning on playing a lot Renaissance polyphony, possibly reaching as far forward in history as Bach.

In other news, it appears I'm now in the works of scheduling I've just scheduled a job interview. I got a call yesterday morning from Pennoni Assoc., who had been given my name by the grader for the Penn courses I took. After e-mailing a resume, they got back to me and want me to go in and interview. I should not figure out what one does at a job interview. One of these days, my charmed life with regards to jobs will end, and I'll actually have to exert real effort to find one. I plan on putting this day off as long as possible.
