Feb. 27th, 2005 02:22 pmI took the Poilitical Party meme quiz. I scored 92% Anarchist, 50% Dem, 8% Rep. I'm not an anarchist by any stretch. I came up an anarchist partially because of my views and how they meshed with the questions on the quiz, but more because I can't give a straight answer. I'm much more inclined to say meh and answer noncomittally to a lot of questions, even if, given some time to think about it, I might think much more strongly one way or another. This is a bad habit.
In other news, I cleaned my room. It needed it. I have lots of space again. I can see the carpet again. This is happy.

Feb. 27th, 2005 04:09 pmThere are 137 pictures from this week. A lot of them are of the "you had to be there" variety. And even the ones that aren't, the internet just isn't big enough for all of the picutres. I'm going home for dinner, but come by this evening and relive the last week in photos.

nautliuspq with Music 12, I'm coming to realize how much better I am at recognizing the function of chords than I used to be. I think this is a byproduct of Music 15. This is a much more useful form of analysis - knowing that a chord is a dominant prep is much more useful and insightful than knowing a chord is IV6. It's difficult to do this without a good foundation, but it's a much better way of analyzing music and something that should be taught to theory students sooner rather than later, I think.
