Oy.

Dead trains on 1 and 2 tracks at 20th St along with Amtrak wire problems. We pulled most of the way out of Suburban around 17.20 and didn't get in to Strafford until about 18.20, having spent most of the extra time (the run is 26 minutes on the schedule) sitting with the very back end of the cab car (which I was in) in Suburban on 4 track. We could have unloaded through back door onto the extreme end of the 5/6 platform (and then squeezed along that fence they have there) if necessary.

I had a dream last night in which Donna Jo joined SWAPA. I believe she used the term "SUG" similarly to [livejournal.com profile] wayman's "PWP".

This can't be healthy.

Then again, my sleep schedule hasn't yet recovered from DST. 7:00 feels really late. But it's still a challenge to be in bed by 10:00, and I find myself awake by 5:30 each morning. 11 to 6 was only barely enough sleep - 11:15 to 5:30 is asking for trouble.

Written on the Palm ([livejournal.com profile] orawnzva's old IIIx) on the train. The grafiti I find myself having trouble with are Bs (which I try to make lower case, and so come out as Hs) and Vs (which I forget the tail on, and so come out as Us).

Found this at work today.

Here are a few of my favorites:

See we told you so. This has LJ icon writton all over it - too bad I'm already at 3 (is it a bad thing if I'm considering going paid?).

This sign has sharp edges. Just wow. It's now my desktop background at work.

Veh Xing. Say what?

These are all quite good.

And in the "oh, crap" category:

Lean left, LEAN LEFT!

and

Uh...and then what happens.

There are now two albums worth of my pictures from Spring '05 on the facebook. Eventually I'll get around to taking them off of SCCS, but there's no need to do that now.

Hmm...I tend to post in spurts.

Anyway, the transportation song count is right now at 116 and likely to go down by a couple, as I know there are a few things on the list that I accidentaly added (and it's hard to pull them off the MP3 player). I'll be analyzing the data over the next few days, but I know there are, for example, multiple references to El Caminos, Black Cadillacs, and Impalas. Not to mention trains. Note that this list is songs that reference transportation (but I'm bing a little picky - 'the road' is not counted but 'I-95' is, for example), not just songs exclusively about transportation. Statistics gathering will include how many songs are passing references to things ('We had to leave on the ferry boat...') and how many are songs all about transportation (something like 1 out of every 5 Johnny Cash songs I have).
