Feb. 21st, 2012 11:09 pmSome sort of glitch caused some older (3/2010) entries from Idle Words to barf themselves into my RSS reader alongside the most recent entry. In doing a little research into who this random blogger is and why in the world is he writing about such fascinating things, I discovered that he's the guy responsible for Pinboard, which seems to be appearing more and more in my facebook feed. But that's less relevant, the more relevant bit is that this dude seems to be big on exploring odd, but very interesting, places, or writing engrossing essays on things like the history of scurvy and its impact on the Scott expedition.

wayman, who made me aware of this blog at some point in the past in referencing the entry on the historical curiosity that is the transcontinental burrito tunnel)
Completely unrelatedly, LJ previews my posts as if they belong to another LJ. I used to periodically post to that journal, but haven't in quite some time, largely because I am no longer in possession of the piece of furniture that the journal portrays.
