I just burned the last of my Amazon gift certificates, picking up Lyle Lovett's Joshua Judges Ruth, John Prine's new album (Fair and Square), Richard Thompson's brand-spankin' new 'Front Parlour Ballads', John Hiatt's latest, 'Master of Disaster', a live set from Birdland with Art Blakey and Clifford Brown, and a disc with Beethoven 5 and Sibelius 2, conducted by George Szell.
