Oct. 22nd, 2005 06:33 pmThere ought to be an announcement system that tells me when friends of mine from out of town end up in town.
Oh wait, it's called E-MAIL!
In other news, I spent far too much of the afternoon in the fifth circle of hell, better known as the Upper Merion tax base, better known as the King of Prussia maul. I have a raincoat, an ankle brace, and a ping pong net to show for my troubles. That and I'm pretty sure now that the cell phone I would want (were I to upgrade) doesn't exist.
I want a flip phone that's a phone first and PDA second. I don't care about a camera. Frankly, I don't care about a color screen. I want it to be not terribly large in length and width (I don't mind a little depth - the RAZR seems too thin to me). For PDA features, I want contacts, calendar/appointments that will sync with Outlook/Sunbird/etc., read/write text files, maybe the ability to sync e-mail from a base station. I don't want a QWERTY keyboard, I don't need the ability to get e-mail anytime, anywhere. Unfortunately, there aren't any semi-smartphones, it's all or nothing, and the all, as far as I'm concerned, ends up being too big and clunky.
