Trains!

I have 2500 tracks on my MP3 player. I'm going to spend my commute pulling all of the train and transportation songs. How many do you think there are? Keep in mind that the tracks number is inflated by jazz and classical.

EDIT: I want guesses.

Keeping in mind that you're more likely to have collected transportation-related songs, and that you're more likely to classify a song as t-related (I'm assuming technicalities count?), I'll go with 5%, or 125.

Inflated by jazz, okay. But, classical?? I can think of Honegger's symphonic poem "Pacific 231", Steve Reich's "Different Trains", and Villa-Lobos's "The Little Train of the Caipira" but not much more....

I think he means that the number of transportation songs is likely to be less than the total number would suggest, since jazz and classical are unlikely to be transportation songs.

My guess is 47.

I myself, by random chance, have 31 songs with "train" in the title, but I have about 10,000 songs. Let's say an average person with 2500 songs would have 1/4 of that, or 8 train songs. Quadruple that to cover all the modes of transportation (I'm sure you have more car songs than train songs, for instance), and then double it again because you are a transit geek. So my guess is 64.
