It was a run for the train, jacket flapping behind, try not to fall making the turn because dress shoes have no traction morning.

The conductor may have held the train for me. (UPDATE: This is as close to on-time as we've been all week, so I don't feel so bad about this.)

In other news, it's too bright in the morning to tie my tie using my reflection on the train window. Not that I ever did this. Nope, not at all. Nor did it stop me from tieing my tie. I just, uh, did it left handed.

I've brushed my hair on the train on the way to work before. *laughs* It somehow feels less ridiculous to do that in a car when your mother is driving you to school.

I'm pretty sure I tied my tie in the car on the way to work one morning in high school. Only at red lights though. I'm not one of those shave in the car people.

I've definitely shaved on the way to work. Of course, this is mostly because the bathroom is on the way from my bed to my desk. And I often don't bother.

You should wear bow ties to work. I actually can't tie a bow tie while looking in a mirror -- I can only look in a mirror afterwards to check that it's even. Otherwise it just confuses me.

One of the structural engineers wears a bowtie periodically. I think there's a limit to bow tie density, so having two people in a small office would make the world explode or something.

meh? don't you need two hands or were your tie inside out or something? I don't think my dad used a mirror to tie his ties for the past 20 years, he just kinda does it.

By left-handed I really mean backwards - the opposite way I'm used to doing it. The fat end of the tie on the other side, if you know what I mean. It means everything I'd do with each hand is reversed. It was tough, but I didn't feel like pulling the tie out and refeeding it.
