Everything backed up, OS installers on hand. Hopefully I'll be back soon from a fresh install of XP and Kubuntu.

Will periodically check mail and will turn on phone, let me know what's up.

Somewhat. However, right now it's being a giant pain. As is XP. I never said this was going to be easy.

well, that's to be expected with XP. i've not used kubuntu, myself, but ubuntu has always treated me nice.
