reldnahkramWell, I'd say that officially settles it. My laptop is no longer capable of running a game that was released two-and-a-half years before the laptop was built. Still, it works fine for most of my every day activities, so there's no need for immediate change.
My next computer is going to be a desktop. My current environment really won't support a desktop, so there's no point in taking any further steps at this time. I'm going to continue to look at hardware, my current thinking is something in the AMD family (probably a low end Venice core AMD64) with an mATX board and case.
