Feb. 26th, 2006 05:16 pmThere's something charming and wonderful about listening to classical music under non-ideal conditions. Be it on FM radio, with the crackle of vinyl, or old, smooshed recordings (like this one I'm listening to now), it's a markedly different experience from listening to a perfect recording, and a very enjoyable one. May the old technology never quite go away.
In other news, I signed up for emusic again, because otherwise I'll spend too much money on music, but this way I can get lots of things (40 tracks) for $9.99 a month. This way, I try stuff out on the cheap, feed habits on the cheap, and if I really like something, I'll go out and buy a different version, or the next album.
