Right now, my LJ internet time is <10 minutes/day. If there's something in your post that you actually want me to know, call me or e-mail me. I might try and catch up, but I wouldn't count on it. If you e-mail me, I'll probably respond, and if you call me, I'll talk (assuming I'm not sleeping or at work). I'm not ignoring you by not replying. Really.

Exactly. And as far as I can tell, LJ in the last few days has been basically four things:

1) Memes
2) think_too_much talking about his job
3) Angst
4) You rambling about how wonderful life is

The second I can get when I get home and the other three I can generally ignore and not much - you'll likely repeat anything you posted in person the next time I see you anyway :P. Thus there's no real good reason to obsessively check LJ right now.

I took a few moments to try to figure out what kind of wacky symbol LJ was, until I realize it was struck-through text...

It's a holdover from the days when LJ accounts required a current user to give out an invitation and such invitations could be used as currency. At the high point 1 LJ = $35.64, IIRC.
