The look on Daniel's face when the harp case moved was priceless.

You read that last sentence correctly.

From the begining - during break, one of the 2nd fiddles got into the harp case, and was soon zipped up. She stumbled around at the base of the seats on the right side of the hall (from stage perspective) and then lay down at the base of the center stairway, right behind the conductor's podium. She lay there, not moving, for a while. Daniel (our conductor) came in and started looking at a score or something on the podium. Then the harp case moved. He looked at it with his jaw at least four inches, possibly closer to six, below the rest of his skull. Much fun was had with said animate harp case.

Mmm...the Faure (Peleas et Melisande) is really pretty, and the Copland (Appalachian Spring - pronounced a-puh-LAY-shun) is coming along nicely. Now, if we had even looked at the Schumann (Piano Concerto) it would have been nice. It also seems like there aren't trumpet parts, or something like that. There's a handwritten part, but it appears to only cover the first movement. Hmm...

Puckers was good. Felt mostly in place on A line. Moe and Tim not being there helped immensly, and the best skater on the other team wasn't being dominant and skating coast to coast, as some people are wont to do. It was pretty clear he had the best shot of any of us, sending some lasers into the top of the net.

Won Puerto Rico by 1 pt. over Chris with the corn strategy - had 6! Benitez misplayed badly and bought a tobacco roaster instead of the customs house in the late game.
