In most sports, the act of winning the championship is the ultimate goal. In hockey, that's just the door to the ultimate goal. In no other sport does the trophy itself mean so much. But watching this group of bearded men hoist and kiss this hunk of metal is like no other - it means so much to them - perhaps more than any other championship.

Ask a hockey player. He'd much rather sleep with Lord Stanley's Cup than his wife. Every hockey player will say this. Always.
