Around 1600, it was proclaimed by Will that there shalt be hockey. And there was much rejoicing.
And lo, the first period passed without much of anything happening. And the second period cometh, and there were several unjust penalties called, which resulted in much gnashing of teeth, cries of boooooo, and other foul phrases directed at the zebras with the orange armbands
But the Devils did not gain from the unjust activity of the zebras, and behold, the arm of the zebra went up in the air again, and the Devils were punished. And there was much rejoicing. And then the faithful were rewarded with a goal, and there was even more rejoicing. This was followed by another goal, which was followed by even more rejoicing.
When the third period cometh, the Devils attempted a comeback, and scored a goal of there own. This was accompanied by groans, wails, gnashing of teeth, and rending of garments. As the end-times neared, it seemed as if the zebras had gone away, but then the hands were raised again. And two Devils, one following the other by roughly 40 seconds, were sent away. Oh, but nothing happened while the Devils were gone. And then, with but 40 seconds before the end-times, the zebras were heard from once more, and the faithful were punished. And the Devils mounted a furious charge in an attempt to overthrow the faithful, sacrificing their last line of defense in order to get more offense. But these charges were rebuked by much flipping of the puck out of the zone, and the end-times came, and the faithful were rewarded with two points for their efforts, the Devils received not one point for their efforts, and there was much rejoicing and carousing on the subway while departing from the promised land.
