I was thinking of last year, when the Marlins had a team payroll of just under 15 M.

The Orioles are at $93 M. They finished with 69 wins, three ahead of the DRays.

The Red Sox, at 143 M, are only a little behind the other three LCS teams combined, at ~168 (D'Backs 52, Indians 61.7, Rox 54.4)
