My suggestions for how to consume a whole watermelon mostly have to do with weapons (swords, guns, etc.)

If you have an ice cream maker (and a blender/food processor), I have access to a simple watermelon sorbet recipe (though it does call for grenadine). Then, you can lose all the space in your freezer and keep the watermelon longer.
