Here's to an evening not spent studying for my E14 exam tomorrow morning!

Is it just me, or are most of the comments in [livejournal.com profile] swarthmore made by SWIL-folk (heck, it's mostly [livejournal.com profile] sildra, [livejournal.com profile] crystalpyramid, [livejournal.com profile] rose_garden, and I). Does anyone worry about the slant we'll give the pre-frosh? I certainly don't.

Yep.

*Is amused by how none of the three of us who've commented so far actually knows what Swarthmore does with credit for psych*

Well, we care. Wouldn't you rather have people who care comment?
And, if the sample of people at Swat on lj parallels the sample of outsiders on lj, it might not be such a bad slant. But, I don't have stats to prove that this is true.

The only time I worry about it is when we start talking about the social scene at Swat and all fail to mention that we're all part of the same isolated sub-set of Swat culture (this applies rather less to [livejournal.com profile] rose_garden). But I suppose it was comforting to that one girl who asked about alcohol...

But there's definitely a certain slant to what I know about Swarthmore.

But it's somewhat different and a bit less slanted than the rest of ours.

Even so, the four of us definately aren't 'mainstream Swarthmore.' If mainstream were 0 and the four of us were plotted in 1-d, I'd bet our mean is signifcantly different from 0 (okay - too much E14, I'll stop now).

Ok, "somewhat different and less extreme but still on the same side of the spectrum." Better?

If anyone wasn't already aware of the trend, they need only look at the most recent post on the Swarthmore community... In addition to the people you listed (all of whom have now commented), the only people who've commented are [livejournal.com profile] sammka and [livejournal.com profile] ursule, a SWILlie and a recent alum para-SWILlie, respectively, and the rest of us far out-number them in number of comments.
