only a matter of time

Today was long and very good. Very long, such that I just got home. Driving home up Montgomery, I got flashing lights just after leaving the Narberth business district. Officer said he had me at 50 in the business district (nominally a 25 zone, but nobody goes 25 there), and, though he didn't mention it, I definately wasn't holding the road as well as I normally do (too tired). I had my license and insurance ready by the time he got to the car, he asked for registration, but I think by then it was pretty clear I was tired but sober, and he said not to bother digging it out, just to slow down and take it easy, he was primarily looking for drunk drivers (perfectly understandable). I was long overdue for getting flagged down for driving too fast on the local roads around here.

I hate the business district there. I just hate it. On the way down it's always jammed, and on the way back it's an empty four land road with a 25 mph speed limit! That being said, I never break 30 there, because I know the cops are watching. Grr.

Glad it wasn't a big deal.

Well, I don't usually drive 50 in Narberth, and I'm not entirely convinced I was going that fast.

But I have a new rule: stay in 3rd gear on Montgomery Ave.

Well I was really referring to those silly bumper stickers that Narberth residents often have.
