About six months or so ago, I opened an account at Commerce Bank.

About one month ago, I started buying things online with the card from this account. The card kept being rejected. I called customer service, and they asked for the address listed on the account. I gave them my address, the address shown on the checks they gave me, but they couldn't verify and so I couldn't accomplish anything that way. I logged into the online banking system, where it turns out they pulled my address based on my old Commerce account. In Haddonfield. Three addresses ago, not counting Swarthmore. I put in for an address change, which they said would take two-to-three business days. Early this week, before making some more online purchases, I checked the address. Still Haddonfield. I put in for an address change, and it came through in as much or less time than they said it would.

Despite this, my bank continues to be more reliable and useful than my morning train, which was >15 mins. late again today (fifth time in twelve days), although it was actually announced, at the scheduled time, no less, that it would be late. It was later than they said, but points for effort. The announcement (by a real hunam, not the recorded voice, was smoother today than yesterday (when it sounded like the love child of the normal recording and William Shatner), but still had some odd pauses: "The R5 inbound from, Bryn Mawr, scheduled to depart at, 7:33..."

That pacing suggests that it was a recording, actually.

No, it was definately a guy reading it, or the recording is really, really, well not quite but close, good.

It was the same voice as yesterday, and he was fumbling badly yesterday. My guess is that he's looking down for information.

Sure. I was just pointing out that those breaks are also where you've switch recorded voices.

Shat! Can you dig it?

William Shatner is the love child of a "normal recording" and PURE FUCKING AWESOME, by the way.

Shatner is currently hosting the game show Show Me The Money, which is exactly like Deal or No Deal, except with a thin veneer of questions and whole lotta loving ripoff artistry. Toupee versus bald guy in the Great Nielsen War.

It's the greatest thing in the history of things!!!!!!!!!!
