AIIIIIEEEEE!
Apr. 2nd, 2007 11:37 pmI was on the mezzanine level of Suburban Station for more than the usual 15 seconds this afternoon, buying my April path. I noted a series of signs heralding goings on in the city in 1930, when the station opened. The sports panel was nearest to the ticket window lines. It mentioned the Philadelphia Quakers, the cities first NHL team (moved to Philly after 5 years in Pittsburgh, folded after one year in the city), some tennis stars, and the heyday of the Philadelphia Athletics, precursor to the Phillies. Can't SEPTA do anything right?
