So I'm sitting here in the Penn coffee bar, minding my own business and sending e-mails (more on this later) and a robot drives by. Okay, it's remote controlled, but still, really cool. Why can't you robotics folks at Swat get out more with your toys, er, projects? The sign on the back said "objects in camera (which I assume was mounted on the front, making it look anteater-ish) are closer than they appear".

There goes another one!

Anyway, I'm frantically sending e-mails to see if I have a summer job and to get more information about our Penn research project. No word back yet on either front - I'm not sure which I'm more anxious about.

I'm pretty sure I'm in ML 217 next year, assuming Jawaad did things right - I didn't actually check my own name on the list of rooms in Parrish this morning, just other folks. It's been decided that think_too_much (living across the hall) and I should put baby grands in our rooms in order to facilitate the whole music major thing. Either that or one of us gets the baby grand and one of us gets a card table. We'll see...
