I use those giant clippy paper clips for that at work. State-of-the-art, super-expensive atomic physics lab solution: get the secretary to give you some paper clips.
They're magnetic clips, not chip clips, but you've got the idea. Because, you know, that extra triangle of light that gets through if I were to just use the curtain tie-back is unacceptable.
