Yeah. Eli called, said we were playing hockey. So I picked him up and went over to Dave's church (that's where we play hockey). Well, there was youth group stuff goin' on. So we played ultimate for a bit, then they went inside to do the God stuff. To paraphrase (maybe) U2? - I need a church like a fish needs a bicycle. Whatever. So Eli, Finney, two girls, and I went to sev to kill time. Apparently one of the two girls was Sarah, Dave's girlfriend. Apparently Dave was pissed that she left with us, but oh well. See above comment about church. So we came back only to find them still discussing, so it was said, Mormons. ok. so Eli, Finney, the two girls, and some other kid played basketball. 'Twas fun. Eli, the kid, and I lost 16-14 because Finney is much better than any of us and because I think Eli and I played the girls a tad soft, but the one that wasn't Sarah didn't play us soft. And so it goes, it's just a game, and 'twas fun. I actually made shots on the church hoops, something I never do. Figures that I can make shots the last time I go there. So we finish basketball and they finish the Mormons. Dave is nowhere to be found (it was about here we find out he's not happy). So we mill around for a bit. Sarah offers up her house and pool, which would be great if any of had bathing suits (which we didn't). She was also wearing a Shade Track, which I assumed meant Maple Shade, though maybe not. That's not close, so I didn't feel like trekking out there. But we went to Stefani's and got cold stuff...sweet! It was decided that people were going to Finney's to watch movies, but I really wasn't interested. Finney's dad showed up in a sweet old 'vette and gave Eli a ride to finney's and I went home. It passes for amusement. So I showered and came here. I wandered through the SWIL website (http://www.sccs.swarthmore.edu/org/swil/) and was generally amused. All the while, I'm listening to all my MP3s and going WOW at all the good stuff that's clogging the hard drive that I haven't listened to in a while because I've been downloading new stuff. And so it goes, and so it goes. Talked to Leah from Appel Farm, which was nice for a change. And now I'm out of things to say, so it's time to post.

On leaving...

Yeah...I said goodbyes to a few people last night. The thing that strikes me as being the oddest about it is that I'm not going to see these people every day at school; they're not going to know about the same goings-on that I am. But I've also come to realize that there comes a time for change. There comes a point where you know a person completely, flaws and all. And there's something about these flaws that start to get to you, and you kinda feel you need to get away. It's a very odd feeling. But I've never been one to get too emotional about goodbyes, so maybe I'm not the one to ask about all this.
