Yeah, that pick was messed up. Kielbasa beats boudin, kielbasa beats hot dogs easily, kielbasa beats salami. And then we have kielbasa vs bratwurst... and I have to go with brats if we're allowed to consider the mustard as part of the package. If not... man, this is a tough one.
Fuck him in the tastebuds.
I don't know which is more disturbing, that thought itself or the fact that I can't stop laughing at it.
I've had boudin, and despite being ethnically Polish, I'm still completely okay with kielbasa losing that match-up. They just got seeded poorly, really. If any of you had had boudin, you'd agree with me.
I do agree that several of the other match-ups should not have gone the way they did. Scrapple, bah.
"Regional Final (1) Bacon vs. (2) Spare ribs Ask vegetarians what they miss most, and what tempts them to fall off the wagon, and most will tell you, "Bacon." There's a reason for that."
heh.
that was amusing. Actually, I miss good brats more. mmmm.
(6) Pork tenderloin vs. (11) Scrapple As Robbie Fulks sings in "The Scrapple Song," "Any old piece of the hog will do / The neck or the nipples or the toenails too." To my knowledge, no songs have ever been written about pork tenderloin.
He's heard of "The Scrapple Song", but he didn't even do a basic Google search for [pork tenderloin song] which would have given him the Moxy Früvous song as the first hit?
I'm seeing a standing rib roast dinner sometime in the not-too-distant future....
I was kind of bored at first, but then, after I finished reading the "Beef Region," I started to actually find myself feeling genuine anxiety over the possibility that the roast beef might not win the whole thing. . . .
