reldnahkramDue to the distances that most of us traveled and some other logistical limitations, Thanksgiving dinner was catered this year. And while the food was excellent (except for, of all things, the pies, which thankfully were supplemented with ice cream from a well-known local dairy), it's just not the same. Yes, it's 1000x less hassle, but the kitchen near-disasters and family recipes are an integral part of the festivities.
My calves have mostly forgiven me for the mile walk to the local 5K, walking the 5K, a short sprint to the finish, walking back out a little ways to escort in the slower pack of family walkers, sprinting to the finish again, and walking back to where we were staying.
