Put that sturdy drill on its back, bit up, and stick the watermelon on the bit, concave up. Turn the drill on, spinning the watermelon like it was on a lathe. Use the straws (or if they prove insufficiently sturdy, the smartstick) to carve the spinning melon into an attractive vaselike shape.
