reldnahkramI have been given a power restore estimate of 11 pm on Wednesday, which is less inconvenient than it seems because work is open tomorrow and it sounds like SEPTA will be up and running, so it will basically be business as usual, assuming the the insulation on the hot water heater is good enough for there to be a little hot water left for a shower.
My grandmother rode out the storm in Margate-by-in-the-sea, though she abandoned the house mid-afternoon yesterday (for a friend's place a block closer to the beach) due to water in the dining room, though initial reports peg the water source as a gutter rather than a roof problem.
Other than that, I have nothing to report. I'm going to abandon this Barnes and Noble and find some place to buy hot food, or failing that, something I can throw on the grill. Hope all is well with those of you who felt Sandy's wrath. The wind last night was something else - I didn't feel it until I tried to go to bed, but I'm pretty sure I could feel a constant low-level oscillation due to the wind.
