Yes, it was wet. But it was fun. Did I mention it was wet? Amos Lee was very good. Sarah Harmer was quite good, but not quite what I expected. The ray of sun during Almost was great (as was the song), but it clouded and rained over over again. Charlie Musslewhite was extremely good. Oh, the Old 97s, oh the Old 97s! I thought Phillip and Ken looked considerably older, Rhett looked more like a rock star, and Murray even more like a geek than last time, though three years does strange things to memory. The North Mississippi All-Stars were phenomenal. The drummer played keyboards while drumming, then he and the guitarist (who was amazing in his own right) switched for a song. The guitarist stayed behind the skins, and the drummer pliugged a washboard into the guitar effects pedals and went nuts. Very, very cool. They then returned to their original instruments and rocked through the remainder of the set. For the record, it was mostly dry for the Musslewhite set, dry for the Old 97s, and drizzling (but I didn't notice) for the NMASs. What fun.
