Oct. 4th, 2004 11:05 pmThe hunt went well. Quite well actually. I still hurt, but such is the price one must pay for that kind of fun. The Phoenix is asking for pictures, does anyone have any?
Saturday night was all sorts of crazy. RLGL went too far - it's about moving, not standing still. Really. Wink, while it lasted, was also good (as always). After various fighting with Stifler's stuff, I ended up in a hold-em game with a bunch of folks. Promptly lost $5, but in retrospect, I had terrible hands. The best hands I had were pocket 10s which I bet too hard pre-flop and lost a chunk of change on and a KJ off-suit that I went all-in on and gave Brodie a good scare with. I think I may have had a few other marginal straight or flush draw hands, but I never got help from the flop (except for the 2-4 off suit I folded that ended up as a straight).
Puttered around for a while, then UberMatt (who was visiting from Boston) and Chris JS wanted to play bridge, so I went looking for
think_too_much to be a fourth. He wasn't in his room. I then stopped in my room, where I found
think_too_much,
ccommack,
crystalpyramid, and
nautiluspq sprawled out on my floor with blankets and pillows. Teach me to leave my door unlocked. Anyway, I get a deck of cards and leave, then come back in a few minutes and steal think_too_much away to be a fourth. Got pasted in one rubber, did the pasting in the second. Back to my room, ccommack has passed out and crystalpyramid looks close to gone, a few other folks have joined them, and we steal away to
gerbilicious85's room to talk for a while, then I come back to go to sleep. UberMatt has since joined the other two in sleeping on my room (UberMatt is smart, he's sleeping on the couch).
The sleepover thing may happen again, because it's the sort of thing that could be fun.
I don't understand
qianian, do you?
Puckers starts Thursday, you have no idea how happy this makes me.
deathbysnusnu is threatening to set up wireless - this also makes me happy.
The long-overdue picture of
think_too_much's mutton chops.

Let sleeping McNarys lie.

A tisket, a tasket, a Noda in a basket.

It's Mister Joy (aka think_too_much). I don't know why he let
sinsofthedove and
_swallow do this to him.

Does
foxfour know what's going on here?

Date: 2004-10-06 01:59 am (UTC)I appear to be doing a very bad job of stifling uproarious laughs in the mutton chops pic. Oh, those were the good old days.
Promptly lost $5, but in retrospect, I had terrible hands.
Proving once again that sleepovers are a much better use of time than poker.

Y'know, that sounds like an invitation to post to Fun whenever you leave your door unlocked...
Those pictures are simply wondrous.
