reldnahkramSo it's been forever, but it's time to update this thing, bring it back for the summer, where people may have slightly more trouble reaching me. I've been through a year of college, but y'all can just talk to me if you want to know about that, or maybe you were there for most of it.
What's new?
The great hard drive crisis is fading into the distance, as my new 40 GB hard drive is up and running and new things are getting installed by the minute. I need to figure out what I want to do about backing up in the future, but I'll cross that bridge later.
I really should create a Swat-based web page with all the cool stuff from the old page with all sorts of increased functionality, but that will come later. Meaning next week or so.
Rock Mix 8 should be coming soon. If you don't know what a rock mix is, you should be aware that it's not rock, it's just all sorts of random music that I put together and give a copy of to whoever wants one. Highlights from this include new Wilco and Moby, Nickel Creek, Emmylou Harris, and Dire Straits.
As seen in the music department, I got a copy of the World Cafe 10th Anniversary double-disk. It's neat. Lots of live stuff by lots of cool people. And it's signed by David Dye. I won it at Tunes in Marlton where DD and company (Ali Castellini) were doing a special thing.
Hung out with Lauren and Sarah tonight. Friendly's really sucks, but we keep going back. Go figure. Lauren and Sarah are interesting as always, never without a few crazy moments (Lauren's first donut, at only about 5 mph).
Random plug: Net2Phone. Cheap phone card, but more importantly, a free computer-to-computer chat program. For those times and people for whom AIM just won't do it. Make sure you have a microphone and speakers (headphones are better, a headset is best) and download the software and tell your friends to download it. Then talk to them live. Works fine. Also, you can make 5 minute free phone calls. Great for short calls or calling your parents :)
Well, I'm running out of things to say and need to install more stuff. So I'll talk to y'all later, assuming you find this on your own and I don't tell you about it.
