When I got home, my parents told me I had gotten something in the mail. It was currently in the fridge because it was marked perishable. It turns out that my relation (I forget the details) Laura send me the mother of all caramel apples in the mail. Between 2 and 2.5 pounds of apple, caramel, dark chocolate, and nuts. Serves approx. 17 with a 55 g serving size. I'll report on how the überapple tastes after we crack it open Sunday at our annual holiday dinner with the Lewises.

Other family quips on my recent experience:

"Was he wearing a helmet?" - My uncle (father's older brother), the neurosurgeon

"Wow, he must have been going really fast" - One of my younger cousins (father's younger sister's child), I think he plays a little hockey himself

"He plays hockey?" - Older sister of the above

Finally, a big thank you to everyone who's helped out over the past two weeks, especially uncleamos and nautiluspq, y'all really made it work a lot better. I plan on seeing some of you folks over break, but for those of you who I don't, I hope that I'll be down to two legs by the next time I see you.
