Is it just me, or has Cheng Hing lost a notch of quality within the last year. They had far more trouble with a large order than they should have earlier in the year, and the Gen. Tso's I had for dinner tonight just didn't have the oomph that I expect. Have I just been jaded by four years of eating there, or are others noticing this as well?

Is that the dish you usually have? Because I find that Cheng Hing has a couple dishes it does really well (there's a reason all the vegetarians at the table always order the same thing, despite having about six choices) and the rest are just generic fast-food quality.

I don't know. People seem to go into Cheng Hing with the expectation that it'll do certain things for them (e.g. substitute stuff for vegetarians, aargh), but it never has, in my experience. But maybe Back In the Day, it used to be better?

It's gotten worse. Noda, Jillian, and I noted that when we were there late last month.

The last two General Tso's I've had have been very lackluster.
