I've had this perverse desire all night to make (and maybe find a place to play) an Orcish Paladin. But again, that's just a perverse desire, I'm pretty sure I know what I want to do with my next character. Someone should run a one or a few shot during senior week (hint-hint).

There's actually a very particular place for them in Eberron... the orcs of the Demon Wastes, who serve something similar to the Silver Flame and do a lot to keep the denizens of the great canyon network called the Labyrinth in check, have paladins among them.

Orcish paladin? Go you!

Personally, what I really want to do is play an orcish wizard. . .

But, but ... -2 to Cha! And Wis!

Well, yes, but you make up for that with the +4 Str. And by forgetting completely about Int. You don't really need skills. And it'd be entertaining to have a character who wasn't as intelligent as his horse.

Yeah, the Strength helps. Note that all paladins should forget completely about Int — since all of the other five ability scores either directly impact a paladin's combat prowess or class abilities, you absolutely have to dump where you can, and "where you can" here means Int.

Right. The way I see it, Cha and Wis are the most important, followed closely by Con. Str and Dex should be middling/above average, if possible, and Int should be non-zero. The feasibility of this depends on the DM and how you're generating, shortly after having this idea, I rolled a 17/15/14/13/12/8, which is probably too strong for most campaigns, but about the kind of roll you'd want to pull this off.

Dex is 12 at most. You wear heavy armor. If you're talking about a paladin who already suffers Wis and Cha penalties, you absolutely have to do it. End of story.
