WXPN just aired a brief slot encouraging people to leave a bequest to the station in their wills. Is this not a little unnerving? The intro riff from the Talking Heads' "Once in a Lifetime" made things even stranger and more surreal.

It's very common for nonprofits to do this -- much or all of the fundraising mail I get from Swat suggests it.

I found it a little creepy when I got the first thing from Swat that suggested it...
