So apparently I have a reputation or something. Because twice now in the last week, different people have sent me two different articles about folks who have absconded with public transportation vehicles, either by masquerading as transit officials (NYT registration required) or by simply stealing the cars. Fear not, good citizens of major metropolitan areas, I have no plans to run off with your vehicles, I simply want to find better ways for them to run.

In related business, it's possible that I'll be doing the double shuffle (R3-R7-NJTransit NEC-Metro North NEC) en route to New Haven for Passover this weekend. Why would I do this? I can't possibly imagine ;)

I thought the one on chat was the guy who had been posing as a NYC subway driver on and off for the past thirty years. Am I confused? Were they both mentioned?
