I just discovered Oscar Peterson a couple days ago at Liesbet's, and now have the Night Train. But the title track was not the version I was looking for: there's a more up-tempo version (Peterson's is about 110bpm, the one I'm talking about is probably in 135-145 range) with a lot more dynamic variation and emphasis on the, well, the notes that get it. It's not the version that's in the Back to the Future soundtrack (from the Enchantment Under the Sea ball scene) though that's much closer to the version I'm looking for than the Oscar Peterson one. Any idea what recording might be the one I'm thinking of?

I have no idea. He's been recording for a long time. My personal favorite album of his is "The Very Tall Band," which was recorded live in Nov. '88 with Milt Jackson and Ray Brown. It's on Telarc.
